Description

The NOMAD 35 was designed to combine the waterproofing of a dry bag with the functionality of a proper hiking pack.

Its construction is inherently waterproof: high-frequency welded assembly with no exposed seams. The fabric forms a welded unit, certified IP67: your gear stays dry, whether in heavy rain, salt spray, or a brief fall into the water.

Unique feature: the bag has two closing options. A classic roll-top at the top, which closes by rolling. Or two side buckles, allowing you to close it in two quick moves for frequent access. If you close it at the top, the side straps turn into compression straps to reduce the volume.

Inside, a suspended fabric pocket keeps what needs to stay dry safe and dry: passport, wallet, phone. On the outside, two water-repellent zip pockets (not waterproof for immersion, but protected from the rain) for quick-access accessories — map, snack, flashlight.

The back and shoulder straps are padded with closed-cell EVA foam. In practical terms, this foam does not absorb water: after a walk in the rain or a boating trip, your back and shoulder straps are dry in a few minutes.

Carrying comfort: a chest strap to stabilize the bag, and a removable padded waist belt. The two reinforced side handles allow you to carry the bag by hand, or securely attach it to a boat rack, motorcycle luggage rack, or fixed point.

Le NOMAD 35 est-il vraiment submersible ?

Oui. Certification IP67 : immersion jusqu'à 30 minutes sans qu'une goutte ne rentre dans le compartiment principal. Attention : les deux poches extérieures à zip sont déperlantes, pas submersibles — pour les objets fragiles, utilisez le compartiment principal.

Pourquoi la mousse EVA est-elle un avantage ?

Parce qu'elle n'absorbe pas l'eau. Une mousse classique gorgée d'eau garde votre dos humide pendant des heures après une sortie mouillée. La mousse EVA à cellules fermées sèche en quelques minutes — plus de transpiration coincée.

Quelle est la différence entre roll-top et boucles latérales ?

Le roll-top ferme par enroulement au sommet — étanchéité maximale, idéal quand vous ne rouvrez pas souvent. Les boucles latérales ferment en deux gestes — pratique quand vous accédez fréquemment au contenu. Les sangles de compression ne fonctionnent qu'avec la fermeture au sommet.

Est-il confortable chargé ?

Oui pour des sorties multi-jours modérées. Mousse EVA matelassée, sangle poitrine, ceinture amovible. Ce n'est pas un sac de grande expédition (pour cela, voir le RACKHAM 60) mais il convient parfaitement aux sorties 2-3 jours.
