Description

The INDY 40 is based on a vertical, self-supporting, high-frequency welded tubular construction.

Its high-tenacity 500D polyester fabric, double-coated with PVC, is assembled without any exposed seams. In practical terms, the fabric forms a single welded unit: there is nowhere for water to seep in. The base is reinforced to withstand abrasion from a dock, a deck, rocky ground, or a luggage rack.

Carrying comfort relies on ergonomic padded shoulder straps, a chest strap, and a removable waist belt. The 40L remains comfortable even when packed for a 48–72 hour trip.

On the outside, a multifunctional front cord system allows you to attach a jacket, towel, or sandals. Inside, there is a zippered pocket for small items. There is no dedicated suspended laptop compartment: the computer goes into the main compartment in a sleeve.

Special feature: the shoulder straps are completely detachable. The INDY 40 can be used as a classic backpack or reduced to a pure waterproof cylinder—for motorcycling, paddleboarding, kayaking, or attaching to a luggage rack.

L'INDY 40 est-il vraiment submersible ?

Oui. Certification IP67 : immersion jusqu'à 30 minutes sans qu'une goutte ne rentre. Conçu pour les environnements marin et outdoor intensifs.

Est-il trop volumineux pour un usage urbain quotidien ?

40 litres, c'est un format pensé pour les sorties de plusieurs jours. Pour un usage urbain quotidien, l'INDY 20 est plus adapté. Pour le week-end ou le voyage : l'INDY 40 prend le relais.

Peut-il transporter un ordinateur 16 pouces ?

Oui, dans une housse fine. Il n'y a pas de compartiment laptop suspendu dédié : l'ordinateur se glisse dans le compartiment principal, protégé par sa housse.

Est-il accepté en cabine d'avion ?

Le format dépend de la compagnie. Vide ou peu chargé, l'INDY 40 peut être compressé pour respecter les dimensions cabine. Pleinement chargé, il sera plutôt destiné à la soute — où sa construction soudée le rend insensible aux intempéries de tarmac.
