85 liters, IP66 waterproof. The BORNEO 85 is made for multi-week expeditions: mountains, sea, or bivouacking with all the technical equipment that goes with it: diving, rafting, surfing, climbing. Three handles and two padded shoulder straps allow it to be carried by hand, on the shoulder, or as a backpack, depending on the route.

Description

The BORNEO 85 is the flagship model in the ZULUPACK duffel range. Made from high-tenacity 500D polyester tarpaulin with a double-sided PVC coating, it is assembled using high-frequency welding, with no exposed seams. Its IP66 rating protects it against powerful water jets from any direction.
Its wide roll-top opening provides easy access to the 85-liter main compartment. Inside, a removable zippered pouch helps keep your belongings organized. The air-release valve and compression straps significantly reduce the bag’s volume when it isn’t full.
The ventilated outer pocket keeps wet items—such as a neoprene wetsuit, shoes, or soaked clothing—separate from the rest of your gear. An external zippered pocket provides quick access to smaller items. With three sturdy handles and two padded shoulder straps, it can be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or as a backpack.

Quand choisir le BORNEO 85 plutôt que le 65 ?

Le BORNEO 85 est fait pour les expéditions longue durée (plus d'une semaine), pour embarquer du matériel technique volumineux (combinaisons, palmes, équipement de plongée ou de rafting) ou pour les voyages en groupe où chaque personne transporte une part de l'équipement collectif. Si vous partez seul pour une semaine de camping, le 65 suffit généralement.

La valve de compression est-elle vraiment utile sur 85L ?

Plus encore que sur les formats inférieurs. 85 litres de vêtements secs prennent beaucoup de place — la valve permet de les comprimer significativement pour réduire le volume du sac en soute ou dans un coffre.
Indispensable en fin de séjour quand le sac n'est plus aussi bien chargé qu'au
départ.

Quelle est la différence entre IP66 et IP67 ?

L'IP66 protège contre les jets d'eau puissants dans toutes les directions — pluie battante, projections, vagues. L'IP67 garantit en plus l'immersion jusqu'à 30 minutes. Le BORNEO 65 est conçu pour l'outdoor et le sport nautique — pas pour être immergé.

La trousse intérieure est-elle amovible ?

Oui. La trousse zippée est entièrement amovible : emportez-la seule jusqu'au camp de base ou dans votre chambre d'hôtel. Elle se réintègre dans le compartiment principal en quelques secondes.
