138 litres, IP66 waterproof. The BARRACUDA 138 is designed for carrying a full set of gear: fins, wetsuits, diving equipment, with nothing left outside. The large main compartment opening provides instant access to everything, while the compression valve lets out air or water depending on what you are carrying.

Description

The BARRACUDA 138 is made from 500D high-tenacity polyester fabric with a double-sided PVC coating, assembled using high-frequency welding with no exposed seams. Its IP66 rating protects the main compartment against powerful jets of water from all directions.
Its large 3-fold roll-top opening provides easy access to the full 138 litres of capacity. The dual-function valve allows you to expel air when loading to compress dry clothing, or drain water if storing wet gear (wetsuit, fins). Two compression straps complete the closure system.
The zippered external pocket allows you to quickly store personal items. Note: this pocket is only water-resistant — not IP66 waterproof. Store water-sensitive items in the main compartment.
Carry by hand using the 2 robust side handles, or over the shoulder using the removable, adjustable padded shoulder strap. Designed for carrying long distances on foot with heavy loads.

La poche extérieure est-elle étanche ?

Non. La poche extérieure zippée est seulement déperlante — elle résiste aux légères projections d'eau mais ne garantit pas une protection IP66. Pour tous les objets sensibles à l'eau (téléphone, documents, électronique), rangez-les dans le compartiment principal fermé par roll-top. C'est là que se trouve la protection IP66.

Comment fonctionne la valve double fonction ?

La valve a deux usages. En compression : ouvrez-la lors du chargement pour expulser l'air et réduire le volume des vêtements secs — pratique pour gagner de la place ou comprimer le sac en soute. En vidange : si vous rangez du matériel humide (combinaison, palmes), la valve permet à l'eau de s'évacuer sans que vous ayez à ouvrir le roll-top.

Quelle est la différence entre IP66 et IP67 ?

L'IP66 protège contre les jets d'eau puissants dans toutes les directions — pluie battante, projections, vagues. L'IP67 garantit en plus l'immersion jusqu'à 30 minutes. Le BORNEO 65 est conçu pour l'outdoor et le sport nautique — pas pour être immergé.

138 litres, c'est vraiment utile ? À qui s'adresse ce sac ?

Le BARRACUDA 138 s'adresse à trois profils principaux : les plongeurs et pratiquants de sports nautiques qui transportent un équipement technique volumineux (combinaison, palmes, BCD, bouteilles...), les expéditionnaires qui partent plus d'une semaine avec un paquetage complet, et les équipes qui transportent du matériel collectif. Pour un voyage solo d'une semaine, le BORNEO 85 est souvent plus adapté.
